Friends of the Elliott Library

Friends is non-profit organization founded by volunteers to ensure the Elliott Library's vitality and are a group of people who share a common goal: "To help the library grow as a resource for the community." As a Friend to the library, we all hold the library close to our hearts. We donate our time and our skills to raise funds to keep our library updated, safe and very, very special. In today's economy, small town libraries are feeling the brunt of financial hardship and we aim to change that. If you are interested in becoming a Friend, please contact the library staff for more information.
Rise of the Goddess Anthology
Thank you for stopping by and checking out what the Friends of the Elliott Library do for our community. I am pleased and very humbled to announce that we have a wonderful and caring group of volunteers who work hard to help the library with what they need. Our volunteers are sprinkled from all around the world. We are lucky in the aspect that Crushing Hearts and Black Butterfly Publishing and owner, SJ Davis collaborated with a fantastic group of authors to write an anthology where the proceeds will be donated to the Friends of the Library to help us with budget shortfalls. How cool is that? "Rise of the Goddess" will be releasing on March 20th on Amazon, so stayed tuned!

The Goddess: a female deity who represents strength, love, dignity, sexuality, motherhood, wrath, peace, the elements, and so much more. She is the symbol of every woman who has ever been or will ever come to be. She comes from a myriad of places and beliefs, her image always changing, but her presence always there. In this collection of fourteen beautifully written stories and three lovely original artworks, the Goddess rises in many unique forms to remind the world of the strength and beauty that is woman and the connection she has with all things.
